About the Event
Discovered by the Olmecs in 1500 B.C. and a staple in Mayan and Aztec cultures for ceremonies of importance, cacao was considered a sacred, elite, and ritualistic plant. Aztec mythology states God created man from maize and cacao among other plants brought from the “Mountains of Sustenance.” In addition to ceremonial practices, cacao has been used medicinally to alleviate fever, fatigue, improve digestion, and stimulate the nervous system to improve mood and virility.
Today, cacao is consumed in ceremony for rejuvenation, energetic clearing, and self-discovery. Open your heart to divine, infinite love through this sacred ceremony which connects us to our soul’s highest intention.
